You’re qualified for this role if you have the following skills...

WordPress

A deep understanding of WordPress and its defined best practices
An understanding of the structure of a WordPress website from themes and plugins to the requisite files
Experience installing and configuring a new WordPress installation
Knowledge of common WordPress issues and conflicts
Deep knowledge of the WordPress admin panel
A good understanding of site speed and technical SEO issues on WordPress

Front-end

The ability to perform front-end development efficiently, optimally, and in a forward-compatible manner
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
Experience working with common page builders (Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, etc.)

Back-end

A fundamental understanding of back-end development and how WordPress uses the correlative code languages.
Experience writing custom functions based on those defined in the WordPress Code Reference and knowledge of how/when to use WordPress hooks
Experience working with and creating WordPress child themes


Advanced development

Ability to define and demonstrate other development skills apart from those listed above. Examples of these other skills include but are not limited to:
Working with hosting environments
Configuring third-party integrations
Experience working with programmatic advertising within the WordPress environment such as EZOIC, Ad Thrive, and Upgrade to see actual info this role, you’ll be responsible for…
Understanding design requests and determining the requirements
Providing feedback and recommendations if a modification could improve the design
Conceptualizing visuals based on requests and requirements
Delivering designs in scope and on time
Presenting ideas, receiving feedback, and updating concepts based on that feedback
Troubleshooting issues that arise by looking into solutions
Showing up for your shift on time and being responsive to clients throughout the scheduled work time.

Work Environment:

This is a half-time leading to a full-time home-based job. Working hours will be discussed during the interview.
