kg&a is an award-winning boutique public relations firm, established in 2003. Over the last decade we’ve earned our reputation as one of the only communications companies in Canada specializing in the urban landscape. Our niche focus is design, architecture, interiors, residential and commercial real estate, urban planning and economic development.

We’re a team of ten dedicated media experts with backgrounds in journalism, digital media, brand strategy, design, architecture, corporate communications and events programming.

Working under a team of media specialists, this role will assist in daily clipping and formatting media articles that appear for the purpose of our team sending to clients and using in reports and proposals.

This position requires a fast-working self-starter with simple graphics skills and an eye for design. The ideal candidate must also thrive under tight deadlines with minimal direction. Previous experience in graphic design and knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign or Adobe Acrobat is a valuable asset.

Job Duties:
• Tracking and responding to daily incoming requests for media formatting
• Developing graphic templates for top media publications. This includes:
o Clean, well-designed headers and footers with publication logos
• Formatting incoming media so they are suitable for presentation. This includes:
o Developing one-page layout of media articles
o Ensuring text and images are clear and readable
o Ensuring publication logo is clearly visible and prominent
o Ensuring all client mentions are visible
o Ensuring page design is clear and consistent
• Completing and sending complete media clippings with one-day turnaround time
• Potential for media tracking opportunities as well. This includes:
o Searching for mentions of existing clients in editorial publications and sending to internal team
Required Skills:
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat Pro
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Competence in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
