Math Typesetter

Trivium Test Prep is a fast-paced and rapidly-growing publishing firm specializing in test prep study guides. Along with our partners, Cirrus Test Prep and Accepted, Inc., we publish study materials for a wide range of tests, including professional certifications, military entrance exams, and teacher certification tests.

We’re currently looking for a candidate to typeset our study guides with Adobe InDesign using a designated template and style guide, as well as to incorporate proofreading corrections into typeset files. We need someone to create high-quality work that will provide consistency both within study guides and all items in our catalog. We need candidates who can work independently and make judgment calls that are consistent with our brand(s). This is not a design job.

This will be an ongoing remote contractor position: work will be part-time and projects will be assigned as they become available.

Required Skills

· Experience with typesetting and laying out large documents according to templates using Adobe InDesign

· experience with typesetting math equations using MathTools by Movemen

· ability to keep cohesive style throughout documents, both stylistically and technically

· Experience with layout problem solving skills

· experience with proofreading, including knowledge of proofreader marks

· excellent working knowledge of Adobe InDesign

· adequate working knowledge of Microsoft Word

· strong attention to detail

· ability to work independently (work offsite)

· ability to work quickly and meet deadlines

MathTools by Movemen: 2 year (Required)
professional typesetting/layout experience in Adobe InDesign: 2 year (Required)
