Job Description –Junior Writer / Viral Marketing Specialist

Summary:

This position is responsible for creating original written content relevant to video games. Experience with MMOs is preferred but not required and any familiarity with the following games is desirable: Old School Runescape, World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft TBC, Final Fantasy XIV, and Lost Ark. The Junior Writer / Viral Marketing Specialist will be responsible for playing games and creating detailed, experienced, and relevant content about video games, the industry, and other topics of interest. They will also be keeping up-to-date with the latest gaming news, patches, and releases. They will keep the team abreast of notable developments and look for new topics or opportunities to bring traffic to our platform.

Required Skills:

Preferably should be familiar with one of the following games: Old School RuneScape, World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft TBC, Final Fantasy XIV, Lost Ark.
Must be an active gamer, regardless of genre. Outstanding English writing ability, meaning the following:
Writing with little to no grammatical mistakes
Diverse word choice and fluency
Able to modulate writing tone
Good communication Skills
Essential Duties:

1. Write gaming-related content in a consistent, timely, and efficient manner. Ensure that all content meets requirements. This includes SEO guidelines and overall writing specifications. Proactively conduct keyword research and generate new ideas for writing topics.

a. As far as games that the applicant plays regularly: use their experience to produce detailed and up-to-date guides and content covering new patch releases, new dungeons, or any other game-specific topics that might be needed.

2. Conduct extensive research about the game topics that are assigned. Keep an eye on game releases, updates, or news and proactively share useful information within the team. Offer insights and opinions on gaming trends and trading information. Suggest new topics and provide feedback on the given tasks continuously.

3. Identify existing and emerging online channels (social media, network, blog, forums and etc.). Observe the conversations, participate, and share relevant content when appropriate. Reach out to new channels to promote our business. Post links in relevant discussions.

4. Open to the possibility of playing new releases (particularly in the MMO space) for the purpose of generating up-to-date and novel ---------- pensation:
