Material Manager

-Accountable for production plans, inventory accuracy, delivery performance and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
-Establishes operational objectives for all areas under the Materials to promote total customer satisfaction within the organization.
-Supervises and directs the Materials Department in the planning and control of inventory material costs and levels at optimum balance between inventory and maximum customer service.
-Reports status of inventories and production schedules to staff.
-Evaluates current inventory levels, forecasts future inventory levels and takes appropriate action where necessary to maintain accuracy and appropriate levels.
-Coordinates preparation of inactive inventory for purposes of calculating resources and for resale of surplus and obsolete material.
-Approves master schedule.
-Analyzes and establishes lead time requirements considering manufacturing capabilities.
-Trains department and facility personnel in scheduling and the interrelationships with data processing systems.
? The position major responsibility is for material planning for production, not for procurement/purchasing;
? The position needs to cope with many (more than one thousand) SKUs, not just few items materials/parts;
? The position requires experience of manufacturing complex processes ( stamping, finishing, assembly), not just single process;
? The position focus on material planning/scheduling. Procurement, warehouse and shipping is need or plus but not priority;
? The position used ERP system, JDE is Subic plant’s system (but not that required), the candidate should have experience of using planning system.
