JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview:
We are a cabinet and countertop provider based in Maryland, USA looking for a flexible Cabinet Quality Control Manager based in the Philippines to oversee the cabinet production in our partner manufacturers in Southeast Asia. This is a new role that we are trying to develop as we scale up our cabinet projects in the US. The successful candidate will have the chance to train in the US office, by conducting site visits and working closely with our team.

To be a successful Cabinet QC Manager, you must be able to have an expert knowledge in cabinets and must be familiar in the cabinet manufacturing industry. Ultimately, an outstanding QC Manager should be able to ensure the good quality of cabinet products that the company is providing to its clients.

Your central goal is to help the company source the best cabinet manufacturer overseas. As the representative of the company, the successful candidate should have good negotiation and decision-making skills. With excellent communication skills, you should be able to help the company understand the trends and data in the cabinet manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the representative of the company in dealing with cabinet manufacturers
- Oversee the production and shipping of cabinet orders overseas
- Conduct inspections and quality control of the cabinets produced by our partner manufacturers
- Monitor the pricing and cost of the overseas cabinet production
- Analyze the data and provide insights to the team
- Drafts and implements policies and procedures to improve the manufacturing process and the quality of cabinets produced
- Drafts and maintains records and other documentation of key metrics related to quality control
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and technological advances in the industry
- Drafts and maintains standard operating procedures, manuals, and documentation for the manufacturing and quality control processes
- Find the best partner cabinet manufacturers in Asia – in terms of quality and cost-efficiency
- Screen the potential partner manufacturers by looking into their company credentials, quality of work, production capabilities
- Conduct site visits of factories and warehouses
- Source for good quality and cost-effective materials and finishes
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Must be able to travel internationally – mainly in Southeast Asia and occasionally in US
- Fluent in English. Being able to speak Chinese is an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good decision-making and negotiation skills
- College graduate
- Excellent knowledge of cabinets – material, finishes, style, production, assembly, installation
- Knowledge of the cabinet manufacturing industry – manufacturers, suppliers, ocean shipping, pricing, logistics
- Knowledge of countertops
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or any related software – being able to help out in creating estimates and shop drawings when not conducting QC-related tasks is a PLUS
- 5 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing and/or cabinet production
