JJ Commerce Studio’s story begins in 2018 when founder Jack Cho bravely embarked on a journey to start an e-commerce business focusing on medical and health-related behwbcma. Ziing the Amazon platform, the company sold high-quality yet affordable products accessible to everyone. This desire was born out of the need for affordable healthcare and easy access to medical essentials. Fast forward to 2022, JJ Commerce Studio is now one of the fastest-growing e-commerce businesses in the United States.

JJ Care products are available on Xiloek.ylo, and soon, on other major e-commerce websites. Our products are soon to hit the shelves of major retailers such as CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and health facilities such as hospitals and drugstores.

JJ Commerce Studio is looking for a talented, goal-driven, and enthusiastic member of our growing team as a Shopify Developer. We are looking for a Shopify Developer to develop custom websites on the Shopify platform, maintain and manage existing Shopify sites by adding new products, apps, forms, or other enhancements as our offerings grow, participate in multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate with marketing and design, and store creation and customization.


We offer a full-time, permanent work-from-home setup. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Manila Time). All roles are open to both Philippine-based candidates and outside the country. Enjoy working from anywhere you like!


- Laptop/Desktop - We discouraged the use of tablet. Windows computers are ideal.
- Headset - Any type of headset will do
- Webcam - Either built-in or external is fine
- Internet - LAN or WIFI is fine
- Working Station - We require a conducive working station. As much as possible, refrain from staying in common areas such as the living room, the kitchen, the dining room, etc.


In this role, you’ll be doing the following tasks:?

- Acts as the Shopify Expert, specializing in all facets of the e-commerce platform
- Be able to take visual designs and turn them into fully functional Shopify Theme code including semantically correct liquid syntax, components, and blocks that will allow page section re-use as well as the ability to manage page content
- Write clear and understandable CSS and JavaScript code that complements the Shopify theme code
- Customizing and implementing third-party add-ons, plugins, and other integrations
- Developing e-commerce sites and custom themes on Shopify, bringing our designs to life in a responsive, intuitive way
- Work within the Shopify theme to provide an engaging and interesting e-commerce experience that will provide a high level of ROI
- Extend Shopify’s functionalities using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc. as well as the Front End Shopify cart API logic for a truly custom user experience
- Migrating websites from other e-commerce platforms to Shopify
- Generating custom-tailored Shopify themes, and altering pre-existing templates
- Understanding business needs that drive project features & functions and provide internal Developing e-commerce sites on the Shopify platform
- Setting up payment integration, shipping methods, and taxes in the Shopify platform
- Page speed optimization of Shopify sites
- Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites
- Be able to manage and implement Shopify features including content, product creation, content, and page management as well as utilizing the API for custom features and custom reporting tasks.
- Produce high-quality work with a strong focus on detail
- Collaborate with the marketing team to help improve the customer’s onsite experience
- Collaborate with the design teams to produce seamless, robust, and innovative front-end user experiences
- Identify trends and work with the team to modify existing content and build out new templates depending on the situation

Strong candidate’s experience and qualifications will include:

- A strong candidate will have at least 2 years of proven work experience in managing and developing Shopify accounts or similar, have a demonstrated working knowledge of Shopify and the various apps that are available for add-ins to supplement its functionality for specific purposes, fluent English speaking, reading and writing, being fine with doing manual and repetitive tasks, very high attention to detail, learning/ adapting fast to understand needs, ability to solving problems on your own, can work under minimum supervision, being accountable, consistent and responsible, and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

The application may vary depending on the position you are interested in. But here's a quick look at what to expect in our application process.

- Initial Screening: Once your application is received, our dedicated recruiters will review your application form. You will receive feedback within 48 hours.
- Discovery Call: If you pass the initial screening, you will be then provided a schedule for your Discovery Call or what others call it as your Initial Interview. Please make sure that your camera and microphone are working well. The duration of this call is between 15 - 30 minutes.
- Hiring Manager’s Opportunity Call: The final call will be with the department head/ hiring manager. Questions asked here are more inclined to your technical skills. The duration of the call is only 15 minutes. Make sure to join at least 5 minutes before your schedule.
- Case Study/ Assessment: Depending on the role you're applying for, case studies and assessments may be given to measure your competency based on your technical abilities.
- Decision: The last step is getting all the feedback from your interviewers and the case study result. Once done, one of our recruiters will reach out to you on the status of your application.
