Senior Python Engineer

Work from home and join a fast-growing Australian tech company! We’re seeking an experienced, innovative, smart Developer to join as a Senior Python Engineer.

You’ll work closely with the company founders and development leads to enhance our existing API connections and create new ones, as well as build out new databases and complex data processing capabilities. Our setup requires collaborative work, including code reviews and writing supporting documentation.

Ways you’ll make an impact:
Design products following coding standards and in accordance with Agile development methodology, tools, and release processes
Develop microservices in accordance with the specifications
Estimate level of effort during sprint planning, evaluate open-source options of similar technologies and offer suggestions
Design and develop specifications and solutions with attention to system integration and data management.
Solving complex data processing problems in a general and scalable way.
Analyzing and helping investigate issues with a large variety of customer data and third-party APIs.
Execute testing to improve the quality and reduce the operational risk of the developed solution.

Minimum Requirements:
Extensive experience with Python and REST APIs
Serverless framework background
Clean Architecture
OOAD (Object-Oriented Analysis and Design)
Experience in managing and administering cloud providers and cloud services: (AWS) - Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cloudformation
Basic DevOps experience
Javascript
Can work full-time
There’s a minimum 1-hour fixed meeting per day; besides that, the work schedule is flexible.
