Akolade manages several industry content platforms, providing dynamic and trusted news sources, opinions and learnings for professionals working in Australia’s health and aged care sectors, government sector, retail and supply sector and not-for-profit sector.
We strive to deliver high-level content focusing on what leaders in these sectors need to know to accelerate their career, business, and sector.
We are currently seeking Content Writers who can also do social media management to lead one of these platforms.
MAIN TASKS:
• Source news and write articles that relate to current trends
• Research with professionals in the sector and generate interesting opinion articles and industry resources
• Manage the website (WordPress)
• Create and manage newsletters sent out to subscribers (Hubspot)
• Grow the site’s readership and number of subscribers
• Manage and drive social media engagement
• Assist with the creation of industry events
• Liaise marketing team and manage advertisements
• Develop and manage EDM campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A degree in journalis
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
• Experience in sourcing news and content
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple tasks
• Experience working with CMS
• The ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive work ethic and the ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
• An understanding of social media audience engagement
• Proficiency in SEO management
MUST-HAVE EQUIPMENT
• At least an i3 processor
• Reliable internet connection
• Back up internet connection or 4G on the phone in case of a power outage
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum one year as a journalist/content producer/media
