Product Sourcing / Product Researcher / Virtual Assistant Specialist

Hi there! We are a fast growing e-commerce bussines based in the Netherlands, we are now searching for a new Product Researcher/Sourcing Agent to strengthen our team!

We’re currently in the process of changing several functions in our organisation to great a more lean company. One of the changes we have made is combining our product research function with our sourcing agent function and we are now searching for somebody to fulfill this role! Both functions were already working together a lot and complement each other well. Experience in one or both of these field would help a lot, but isn’t necessary to apply for this job. We’ve got all the learning resources available to make you a superstar in these fields!

Your core mission for this product:

As our product reseacher your task is to find high-selling products that fit well into our brands. Thereafter you will thoroughly research these products, so we can offer our customers the best possible solutions to their problems. When you’ve found a potential winning product, the sourcing process starts. You will have to search for potential suppliers and will then communicate and negotiate with them to get the best deals on the products we want to buy. After making the deal you will be arraging the quality control and shipping of our produts.

You will do this by:

- Researching products on Amazon and other platforms.
- Performing market research using handy software tools.
- Examining our biggest competitors.
- Sourcing on Chinese platforms like Alibaba and 1688.
- Communicating with our suppliers using digital chatting apps.
- Arranging our orders by following our extensive roadmap.
- Working together with our partners to arrange the quality control and shipping of the products.

Are you someone who is/has:

- Good English speaking and writing skills.
- A growth mindset with a hunger to constantly learn and improve your craft.
- High attention to quality and details.
- Experience and knowledge in this field (or the willingness to learn about it).
- And maybe even Chinese speaking skills? (This is not necessary, but a big advantage!)
