Line Manager: COO/CEO
OVERVIEW:
Supply chain managers keep track of logistics and update the company’s inventory. They analyze operational performance and resolve issues. They also collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations (e.g. shipping, delivery) meet quality and safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Liaise and develop good business relationships with suppliers, forwarders, and third-party warehouses
-Prepare tender documents such as RFQ, Purchase Orders, Work Orders
-Oversee movement of incoming and outgoing goods
-Monitor progress on shipments
-File organization and handling
-Ensure that all Purchases are recorded in Orderhive and other Inventory tools
-Ensure proper status updates of Purchase orders in Orderhive and other Inventory tools
-Management of the container planning sheet
-Coordination with the Supply Chain Manager, vendors, and 3PLs to ensure goods are produced and delivered on time
-Sent work orders to 3PL to inform them about incoming products
-Ensure products are packed properly
-Conduct quality control
-Provide assistance and insights with container optimization.
-Follow proper Supply Chain protocols and use correct Asana task templates
-Facilitate and follow-up timely clearance, delivery, and handover of goods and consignments to partners
Qualifications for Supply Chain Manager:
- 3-5 years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
- 2+ years of managerial experience
- Experience using SoStocked (Inventory Tool) is an advantage
- Firm grasp of the supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
- Strong team player
- Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
- Creative problem-solving
