Course scheduler conflict detection

We are trying to create our project which is an advising system, we want the student to be able to select the courses they have completed and put their grades in, we also want the advisor to be able to view the student's progress. We want an additional page in the student page that uses the study plan we provided to recommend the student the courses they should take depending on the courses they have completed already. As you can see there are different majors the student has the option to select the study plan at the start. There's also a CRN list already. That is a list that is updated every semester and represents the courses that are available that semester so when sorting out the courses the student is recommended that list determines what is available that semester. Another feature we need is the ability for the Advisor to send the student their own recommendations on what to take the upcoming semester.
