Web Designer for Authority Sites on Dogs. MUST LOVE DOGS

We’re creating an authority site about dogs, and we need a design expert to help create the look, feel, and aesthetic. This is part-time web design work, and the right fit will move on to spearhead many other dog-related projects for websites, landing pages and other graphics as needed, e.g., YouTube covers, social media images and infographics.

This is the perfect position for the web designer looking for more freedom, both creatively and geographically. If you like dogs, but don’t LOVE dogs, well, that’s a deal breaker for us. Every member of our team – even our bookkeeper – is a massive dog lover.

We are a fully remote company and have been since our founding in 2008. You will be given flexibility to choose your working hours. Of course, we have weekly meetings, which you will need to be available for, but when and where you work is up to you. At the end of the day, we need you to deliver your best work.

Skills and Qualifications
• Mastery of UI/UX
• Extensive portfolio of responsive web designs
• Expert level with Adobe Creative Suite or Photoshop
• HTML and CSS
• WordPress (preferred)
• Exceptional creativity and originality
• Attention to detail
• Experience designing YouTube covers
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work with a global team

Responsibilities
• Design engaging and responsive landing pages that convert
• Develop full-site mockups
• Work with marketing team from idea conception thru completion
• Produce graphics as needed (YouTube covers, banners, etc.)
• Advise on best practices and optimizations throughout design projects
• Select colors, fonts, images, and layout based on responsive web experience
• Produce or update style guides for each web project
• Implement feedback and changes when appropriate
