Jacob & Co is currently going through a period of rapid growth which has led to the opening of an experienced 3D Jewelry Artist who will help with professional execution and presentation of design concepts at the highest level. 3D Jewelry Artist will model and render photorealistic images of jewelry from beginning to end. This includes re-creating existing collections in 3D as well as new designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work directly with the Creative Director, Project Manager, and the CEO on a wide range of 3D projects
* Strive to meet project outcomes and deadlines
* Occasionally propose creative ideas and suggestions to projects especially if for efficiency purposes
* 3D Artist's tasks include but are not limited to:
modeling
retopology
texturing
lighting
rendering
animation
editing
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Required work hours: minimum 40 hours a week from 9 am to 9 pm EST. Flexible work shifts can be negotiated based on circumstances.
* Friendly and nice - you need to get along. If people don't like working with you, you can't do this job.
* Good spoken and written English. Minimum 8 out of 10.
* Focused - You need to give this job your full attention. You won't be able to stay focused if you work other gigs.
* Resourceful - can find solutions yourself and use what is available to create answers
* Technical - able to learn new tools without much effort.
* Proficient in the following applications but is not required:
* 3D application of your choice such as Cinema 4D, Maya, and 3DsMax
* Rendering Engines such as: Redshift, Octane, Keyshot, or Arnold
Adobe Creative Suite
Compositing in After Effects
Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, Matrix gold software
* Able to create designs that are feasible and technically sound.
* Performs accurate creation of CAD and Photoshop format designs, as required.
* Capable of addressing a brief based on a price objective (knows to interpret into carat weigh) and has a strong knowledge of stones.
* Knowledge of the Jewelry industry and the competing landscape.
* Very good knowledge of gemology.
* Workshop experience is a plus.
