US Tax Payroll Specialist

Job Functions:

Research and Analyze Payroll Tax Data - 65%
Prepare Financial Reports - 25%
Document Transactions - 10%
Ensure the organization’s compliance with North America payroll tax reporting and withholding responsibilities.
Process timely reporting to the internal stakeholders, IRS, and other jurisdictions and agencies including New Hires, Bureau Labor Statistics, and Multi-Site Reporting.
Registration of new employment tax jurisdictions.
Stays current on legislative and industry changes that affect US and Canada payroll tax withholding, remittance, or filing obligations.
Schedule required files and reports weekly to process in HRMS.
Monthly tax update testing, validation, and documentation of results.
Assists with all quarterly and year-end activities including balancing, reporting, and administering year-end tax forms to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Responds timely to tax notifications and employee requests.
Ensure customer service excellence is consistently provided to Alorica’s internal and external
Education / Experience:

Qualifications:
> 2-3 years handling US payroll or related
> Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Human Resources, or other similar degree preferred.
US Payroll multi-state payroll tax withholding experience preferred
> Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a large multi-state complex global organization preferred
> Strong knowledge in the following areas of Payroll; processing, multi-state and local taxes, payroll tax maintenance, gross-to-net calculations, year-end W-2s/W-2Cs and other related payroll tax tasks
> Comprehensive understanding of payroll tax and knowledge of the statutory environment including local, federal, and multi-state tax laws
> Experience with other payroll and tax filing platforms
