FilmDoo is a new online film platform redefining the way people discover and watch great films from around the world. We are looking for a Film Data Entry Officer who has a love for films to join us on this exciting journey. Primarily the role involves adding films to our database, which includes reviewing film information or data and adding relevant tags and information for each film. This role could at times involve helping to identify and research large film databases. The ideal candidate would be very skilled at managing large volumes of data and be proficient in tracking this on Excel spreadsheet. This role is extremely fast paced and would require high attention to detail. It is also important that the candidate has a keen interest in foreign language cinema.
We are a UK company but are about to launch internationally. The role would be three-month full time (with 3 week probation period) to start off with but there would be an opportunity to come on board as part of the FilmDoo team. Our core team is based in London although we have team members in Sydney, Bangkok and New York and are used to remote working.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Adding films to our database, which would include adding film information, synopses, related images and film tags
• Reviewing film information and tags and cleaning this where required
• Assist with identifying and researching film databases
• Organise data in Excel spreadsheet
• Weekly tracking and reporting
REQUIREMENTS:
• Full time role, 40 hours per week
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Reliable high speed internet connection and quality computer for regular Skype calls
• Strong English language skills
• Proficient in Excel and Google Docs
• Strong organisation skills and close attention to detail
• Ability to work off a large spreadsheet with information that may be stored in several places (Dropbox, Google Docs, Excel, etc)
• Photoshop, Illustrator or design experience would be helpful as there may be instances of image editing required before uploading
• Ability to work fast and upload high volumes of data to meet daily targets
• Interested in films, especially international and independent films
