Position: Social Media Specialist

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring that we have continued growth of our online community and working to using a variety of web-based platforms to reach out, connect and bring valuable information and relationships to our audience. The position is an expansion position so the successful applicant will need to bring experience and ideas to the company for implementation. Responsibilities and Duties:
Create or post relevant content to reach the company’s ideal connections on our sites and other public-facing sites
Manage the social media component of all published content (images, video, and written)
Oversee design (ie: LinkedIn pictures, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages,
Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales
Work toward "results-oriented" growth of our brand
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales, etc) to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions
Identify or develop KPIs to monitor the team’s performance
Develop strategies to grow the company’s reach on social media (engagements and followers)
Qualifications and Skills
Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
Measure and grow our footprint on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as measured by subscriber numbers and web
Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts
Demonstrate ability to map out marketing strategy and then drive that strategy proven by testing and metrics
Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy
Successfully integrated social media data into our enterprise
Maintain confidentiality of all data
Other Skills and Experience
Education & Experience:
Must have a Bachelor's degree holder in either IT, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or any related fields. The person must also have more than two (2) years of experience using web-based tools and social media
Must be able to comfortably and effectively communicate (verbal and written) with members, their staffs, internal employees
Excellent time management and organizational skills – able to multi-task
Highly organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of InDesign also is a plus
