Front-End Development with VB/C#/SOAP Backend

We have an existing server utility in VB/C# that uses our SOAP API that does bulk inserts and data export/import from our application. We are looking to create a jQuery/Javascript front-end so that the functionality can be brought into our web app and not require modifying and compiling the server utility.
