Experienced Drupal 7 PHP developer to join team

The Opportunity: This exciting role provides opportunity to develop technology solutions for our Educational-Tech platform, web based service delivery, as well as its digital publishing products.

Environment: You will work with other in-house developers in the planning, design and execution of work. We use PHP development framework Drupal 7, Mayan-EDMS, and Mautic, as well as, MySQL and Linux in our technology stack.

The role is remotely based, where you will be expected to work 50% of your day on Australian Eastern Time, and 50% at a time of your own choosing.

What it takes: We are looking for an experienced developer, with a strong desire to build quality software that meets end-user needs, you must be punctual and honest in how you communicate expectations. We don't want people who will simply tell us "Yes", we work as a team and your constructive ideas/criticism will be appreciated by all.

You will also need to demonstrate to us a strong understanding of object oriented development and software patterns, your PHP7+, database design and query experiences in a modern development framework, most importantly you will need to show us you have excellent proficiency with Drupal 7 and all of it's conventions.

Other desirable experience includes:

Strong relational database design and query skills (MySQL preferred); experience with data warehouse solutions such as
Javascript development experience – Node.js and ReactJS desirable.
Python development experience - Django ---------- ont end development skills (HTML, CSS, JS).
UX design best practices to design solutions, including relevant examples.
Bachelor degree in a computer science discipline or equivalent professional experience.
