Business Manager

The Company:
New Zealand freight logistics company based in Auckland that started in 2005. Since then, the company has grown into Auckland's largest same day delivery company.
The company is extremely focused on operational excellence and outstanding company culture.

The Role:
To be successful in this role you will be a people leader with a high level of business acumen and an understanding of the logistics and transportation sector.
Drawing from your knowledge of logistics and supply chain you will be able to driver the business forward through your strategy, excellent relationships, people leadership and proactive management.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the company operations and employees includes but is not limited to

1. HR
- Manage & Motivate team
- Recruit and Train New Employees
- Perform regular employee evaluations to determine areas of improvement.
- Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback to improve efficiency and effectiveness

2. Operations
- Establish the company’s goals and objectives.
- Assess overall company performance.
- Assess and identify new opportunities for growth
- Assess processes and procedures to eliminate bottlenecks in the company & Escalations
- Maintain relationships with customers, owner drivers and others.
- Oversee and maintain the day-to-day operations.

3. Accounts & Finance
- Oversee all financial aspects of the company to include; A/P, A/R, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Analise Profit and Loss

4. Sales
- Develop New Sales
- Customers / Owner Drivers
- Support Sales of Existing Customers / Owner Drivers
- Account Management

Skills and Qualifications

- Strong leadership skills
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze company procedures to make improvements
- Sound knowledge of finance and well-abled to manage business’ financial budget
- Clear vision and direction for their company, with a goal-driven and determined mindset
- Previous working experience as business manager / Transport experience
