The Solution/System Architect is responsible for developing, maintaining and providing governance of the tribe specific platform architecture. The role includes analyzing existing platform including its integration and data points in providing appropriate solution supported by a strong architecture and design that is reliable, secured, observable, scalable and maintainable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive the strategic use and development of technology assets and platforms that bring IT asset optimization and cost efficiencies through strong, consistent communication and collaboration with various business and technical units
Lead the rigorous and consistent development and maintenance of consolidated architecture blueprint and artifacts with a roadmap of current to target state architecture and any corresponding transition architecture(s).
Ensure in application of cross-application, security, deployment, release standards, and tuning strategies.
Ensure that all systems and components work together to meet objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements.
Participate in architecture and design quality management reviews
Consider the recovery, backup and replication requirements as part of the BCP for the application.
Ensure high quality compliance, consistency and continuous improvement of architecture standards and practice across the community
Deliverables:
Solution recommendations in the form of:
(1) High level solution (with cost and time estimates)
(2) Detailed solution plan
(3) System interaction diagram
(4) Technical evaluation of solutions (as part of RFP process)
Architecture blueprint, which contains:
(1) Current architecture
(2) Target architecture
(3) Transition architecture(s)
Transition/interim solutions/architecture log
KPI:
Timely delivery of high-level solutions and cost/time estimates (according to SLA/committed date)
Timely update and stakeholder acceptance of architecture artifacts and plans
Compliance with Enterprise Architecture principles and standards
Alignment of detailed implementation plan, costs and timelines with high-level solution (within agreed variance)
