Graphic Designer / Illustrator (Freelance)

ABOUT US
Our company makes bedding and home decor products (think comforters, duvet covers, quilts, pillows, ceramic dinnerware, etc.). We are based in Dallas, Texas and design all of our products here in Dallas! We've been in business since 2005 and have been growing every year. We sell to both business customers (like department stores and bedding stores) as well as direct to consumer.

JOB DESCRIPTION: GRAPHIC DESIGNER
We're looking for a freelance Graphic Designer / Illustrator to work with. The Graphic Designer will work with our eCommerce, Sales and Marketing teams to create marketing pieces and photos as needed.

The hours per week will be variable, although in the near-term it will likely be around 10-20 hours per ---------- the future, the position may evolve to be a full-time position depending on mutual availability. We are looking for this to be a long-term ---------- pensation will be remitted through Wise on our company's regular pay cycle.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create dynamic, visually appealing content that can be used for a variety of purposes
- Create illustrations and iconography in a style similar to this - ----------
- Take design concept and create various marketing pieces for print and email marketing
- Follow directions thoroughly with extreme attention to detail
- Build print-ready mechanical files
- Review final copy, layout and content for final output
- Save files in an organized manner: naming conventions/file folder structure/server usage
- Keep an organized calendar of marketing events and communicate marketing needs
- Work in advance for speedy approval process
- Make color adjustments to various product images as needed
- Photo retouching and image manipulation when necessary
- Provide image requests for sales and other departments
- Create digital product renders on industry-specific rendering software such as Live Furnish
- Other duties as assigned

WHO YOU ARE
- 2+ years experience in Graphic Design, preferably within the home, fashion or editorial industry
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Reliable and detailed-oriented
- Maintain a sense of ownership and urgency
- Must be able to handle a fast-paced working environment
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- General knowledge of eCommerce imagery requirements
- Excellent English skills
