We are a US-based company looking for proficient editors to join our team! We offer a friendly work environment and a long-term, ongoing position for suitable candidates. We provide training for editors.
Job Summary:
Assist the Writing Team Leader to edit submitted articles with proper company formatting standards and for high-quality, well-written answers to topic queries that appeal to readers’ intent. The assistant will work directly in WordPress and should have proficient knowledge of both WordPress Classic and WordPress Gutenberg editors. The assistant will communicate with writers to provide feedback and clarity when revisions are needed.
Responsibilities:
-Checking each article against the MDP checklist
-Plagiarism & Grammarly check per article
-Check for excess “fluff”
-Clearly communicate with writers when revisions are necessary
-Submit edited posts to Team Leader for final check
Required Skills/Abilities:
-Fluent English writing skills (native-speaking level)
-Ability to self-manage remotely
-Organizational skills and attention to detail
-Ability to manage a high workload and meet deadlines
-Timely and effective communication with others
Education and Experience:
-Writing experience - preferred
-Editing experience - preferred
-Remote work experience - preferred
Other Requirements:
-Flexible hours that enable work with tea
-Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
-Quiet work environment and availability for planned as well as ad-hoc video calls
-Reliable internet connection
