IT Analyst I - QA

The Software QA Analyst is accountable for the development and documentation of test plans, test procedures, test requirements, test cases and testing of software products under test. Perform various testing, defining and implementing manual or automated testing tools and other quality assurance practices within the department.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs and participates in a variety of technical and administrative activities related to the establishment of quality assurance processes and measures, technical training and documentation.

Participates in the development and implementation of change management system and standards to govern the movement of programming modules from development to testing to production environment.

Recommends standards relating to programming practices, including system documentation, naming conventions, security, backup and recovery of data; design and develop processes to coordinate change control program and code libraries.

Conducts audits to monitor adherence to documented processes, procedures and standards, document and cascade audit results.

Performs manual and/or automated testing, document reviews and defect tracking.

Coordinates with other team members in the completion of the evaluation activities for product under test.

Documents, tracks, and communicates test plan, test results, analysis, unresolved problems and other quality issues.

Participates in customer support, issue escalation, troubleshooting and analysis.

Performs other quality assurance related tasks as may be assigned.
