Video Editor

We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our busy production team. As a video editor you will be responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the Client.
As a Video Editor, you should have expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques, be able to visualize directorial concepts and work according to a strict time schedule. The Video Editor is ultimately responsible for translating a client’s idea into a well-crafted film or video piece, worthy of broadcasting.

Video Editor Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to establish the desired vision for the video production to be created.
- Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format.
- Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
- Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.
- Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects. This includes inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
- Ensure the production follows a logical sequence.
- Create the final cut for broadcasting.

Qualifications for Video Editor
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, or related field.
- Professional mastery of editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier.
- Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
- Portfolio of completed film productions.
- Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
