Researcher (experience as economist or with economics highly valued)

General description of the job:
• You will be researching, thinking, and writing about various topics, starting with climate science. "Research" means reading books intended for the general public as well as academic papers. You don’t need prior experience with climate science, but you have to be comfortable learning about a topic you initially know nothing about. You will need to be able to address, in your writing, criticism from other specialists.
• This job is intellectually challenging and rewarding

Requirements:
• I’m looking for someone who has 30 – 60 hours per week to devote to this job
• Patience and persistence are required because the bar for quality is high. You’ll probably have to do a lot of re-work.
• Please don't apply if you have socialist or left-leaning views.

Day-to-day aspects of the job:
• You d ---------- the hours and days during which you work, and when and for how long you take vacations. You will not be using time-tracking software (unless you prefer to).
• I would like a summary each day of your progress and setbacks; other communication would be as-needed; all or nearly all communication will be over email unless we discover that it’s faster to speak to each other
• I will try to use the payment processor (e.g. PayPal, Skrill) of your choice.
