JUNIOR FRONTEND DEVELOPER

What we are looking for:

This permanent and direct-hire position will be based in our Ortigas office. However, we are
currently working remotely from home due to the pandemic. We are looking for programmers
with a keen eye for design for the position of a Front-End Developer. You will be responsible for
implementing visual elements and ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience
requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency
across all web pages & devices, among other duties. You will be required to work in teams
alongside Back-End Developers, Graphic Designers, and Marketing to ensure all elements of
web creation are consistent. The role requires good communication and interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities will include:

• Determining the structure and design of web pages
• Ensuring user experience determines design choices
• Developing features to enhance the user experience
• Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design
• Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones & tablet
• Building reusable code for future use
• Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability
• Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages
• Can work with tight deadline and minimum supervision
• Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design


To be successful in this role the following skills and experience is required:

• Degree in computer science or related field
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Understanding of server-side CSS, Angular, Vue.js and WordPress
• Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe
Photoshop
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Understanding of SEO principles
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
