Groundrules

I've hired two people from the Philippines. I believe both of them pretended to do the work but farmed it out. They no longer work for me. They could not demonstrate their knowledge of the work they just completed. And in one case ignored instructions.

To eliminate this possibility, your interview will require that I can see you during the interview, hear you and see your computer screen - NO EXCEPTIONS. You will not be allowed to gather your friends over to help you through a text interview.

If hired, during the job, you will be spot tested via a Web Cam session with a microphone to be sure that you are doing the work. These tests will come without warning or an appointment. If you either don't know what you did or can't manage to keep the microphone and CAM ready for these tests - you will be fired.

And no I'm not going to give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm tired of being lied to. So I am trusting ONLY with verification.

Harsh. Maybe. But I'm tired of trusting and being scammed. So I have a good job for you, only if you are honest and do the work yourself.

You must type 50 wpm and think quickly. I don't care if you are ugly or beautiful. I don't care if you are old or young. I don't care if you are rich or poor - or crippled or an athlete.

Degrees don't matter to me.

You must really want the job. You must work to make the company better and not just try to get by with the minimum effort. I want people who I can turn a job over to and TRUST that it will be done with excellence to the BEST of your ability.

You will be expected to supply DETAILED reports of your accomplishments daily at the end of every day. I will not accept one line reports - like "worked on video editing." I want details to show me exactly what you did. I expect partially completed work to be posted every day so I can see what your accomplishments are. I expect to see your work in progress. I will no longer accept any excuses for not posting your work in progress.

I expect to receive questions and ideas in this email. And if you are having trouble, research the net, ask your friends, and try to figure it out.

I really don't care if you stumble and need help after trying. I do care if you just throw up your hands and expect me to do your work. I do not need a paid audience. I need help.

I do care if you are intelligent, type fast, have good reasoning skills, can communicate well, can research and solve problems. I value creativity. I value your ideas. I value honesty and integrity. So that should give you a clue on how you might get a bonus.

I have no tolerance for deceit. Deception will get you fired.

Honesty and hard work will bring you a good income.

I pay weekly so you don't have to worry about me scamming you.

I'm looking for 40 hours per week. No I don't pay overtime. Don't ask me for a loan. Don't ask me for bonuses. Don't ask me to buy you equipment or pay your family bills. If you deserve a bonus, I'll decide when and if you deserve one. Asking for bonuses is not well received.

Here is the job:

Blog editing, blog posting, video editing, transcribing English recordings to text, and virtual assistant tasks. I have enough work for 5 people. But I only want to train one at a time.

HTML, Photoshop, Camtasia experience, web site design, database maintenance experience or programming is a plus.

The first 2 months will be a probation period. If I'm not excited to have you working with me during that two month period, I will find another person to fill the job.

If you expect to deliver minimal service, you will be fired. If you expect to just put in enough to retain your job, you will be fired. I need to be really happy to have you on board.


I will be hiring 5 people. All 5 will get the same task. You will need to be top of class to retain the job. One is already hired, I have 4 spots left.

All 5 will be paid. I expect to fire 3 of the 5. You may last a day. You may make it to the end. Either way, you will be paid for every day that you work.

If all 5 are outstanding!!! I may keep all 5. You need to wow me. And if you do, I'll have a great job for you.

Why am I hiring 5? Because I've wasted 5 months trying to nurture honesty and competence out of people. Either you want to bring that to the table or don't waste my time.

Yeah, I'll probably be a whole lot nicer later after our trial period. But for now, Mr. Nice Guy left the building. I expect good work.

Under skills required - it is more like skills desired. I've detailed what is required in the description above.

300/mo = $70/week. So you will get $70/wk. If you last 1 day before you get fired - you will get paid for the full day = $14.

I do know about the 13th month.
