We are a home décor company that is in search of an Operations and Brand Manager to help us drive the brand forward. The ideal person is bright, ambitious, and multi-skilled, and has hands-on experience in operations management, and an insatiable drive for business alignment. You will be working with a small start up business in Canada that sells products in Amazon US.

As Operations Manager, you’ll execute the business plan and achieve results by leading and managing projects, building and holding the team accountable for agreed-upon commitments. You’ll remove obstacles and barriers, “clean up” the business, manage major projects, standardize and systematize work, and integrate all major functions of the business. You’ll work with the business founder to filter and translate ideas into the functional plans of the business.
Beyond your experience, we are also looking for someone who is professional and possesses impeccable English communication in written and verbal form.
This role is 100% remote
General
Ensure smooth running of the Amazon Store to maintain strong account health/performance metrics.
Daily monitoring to ensure listings are live, correct information, etc
Brand protection - deal with hijackers, intellectual property issues
Develop a team by hiring exceptional talent, cultivating internal capability and refining workstreams.
Manage project workflows and set achievable timelines
Track deadlines, dependencies, decisions, and action items to ensure continuous forward
Plan and run project status meetings to keep teams informed and prepared for deadlines
Run weekly tea
Brand Management
Analyze amazon data (sales, sessions, conversion rates, keyword rankings) to determine why certain products are trending up or down; clearly articulate observations and propose strategies for troubleshooting.
Utilize data to assess facets of the product and determine if there is room for optimization and increased margin.
Proactively catch issues before they become problems and understand everything about the ecosystem in which your products are selling (e.g., competitor landscape, industry landscape, Amazon marketplace rule changes).
Develop strategies to increase sales, reduce costs and drive conversion rate of acquired products including: price optimization, PPC, packaging/inserts, coupons and deals, customer communications, creative, changing package dimensions,, removing unprofitable products and more.
Maintain product listings on a daily basis, including maintaining best seller tags, monitoring metrics shifts, pricing changes, and product inventory.
Produce daily, weekly and monthly reporting that show top-level and finer detailed information
As an expert in spreadsheets you will apply your extensive knowledge of formulae to improve all current data presentation and analysis methodology
Inventory
Create and maintain up-to-date central records of product specifications
Review current inventory tracking methods and propose/implement new procedures.
Perform daily analysis to highlight current/future inventory problems.
Produce detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels and adjustments.
Troubleshoot Amazon inventory issues.
Forecasting
Anticipate seasonal demands and trends.
Monitor sales, weekly report with summary of key observations and determine sales velocities to inform forecasting.
Provide sales projections to inform purchasing decisions.
Stock-level optimisation to maximise sales/cash-flow
Assist with profit increase through reduction in stock-outs/fees/overheads.
Logistics
Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and delivery partners.
Record shipments incoming/outgoing and ensure stock levels reflect changes.
Create and monitor inbound performance of FBA shipments
Create shipping plans and labels
Systems/Processes
Review and revamp current filing structure of all business documents/files
Lead the creation of SOPs for all areas of the business.
Create and fix systems and processes
Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process/systems improvement
Advise on and implement appropriate software/systems to automate all repeatable business tasks where possible.
About You:
Experience
Minimum 2+ year experience as Operations Manager, Inventory Manager, Amazon manager
Advanced Seller Central experience
4+ years of e-commerce experience managing a portfolio of products, preferably on Amazon.
Expert in Google Sheets and Excel, including capabilities in standardized reporting, analysis, data queries/manipulation, and so forth.
Strong knowledge of data analysis, inventory management and forecasting preferred
Well versed in MS Office including Word and Powerpoint
