Long term role for Full Stack WordPress Developer - work AU time zone

R2 Reliability Pty Ltd is the company behind the Road to Reliability™ framework and runs the site ---------- and the associated Road to Reliability™ Academy. Through the Academy we deliver online training and coaching in the area of industrial maintenance and plant reliability. Our customers are in all parts of the world, from individuals to large multi-nationals.

A new long-term role of Senior Web Developer is being created. The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for the maintenance and development of WordPress sites, support of the Road to Reliability™ App (delivered via the BuddyBoss platform) and other web and app developments as part of the company’s growth.

The role will initially be part-time (20 hours per week) and quickly grow into a full-time role depending on your capabilities and the success of the company.


Scope of Work:

You will work with me and members of my team to complete / optimise / refine our newly developed main site ( ---------- ). Once I am confident in your abilities I also will want you to pick up work on my Academy site which I use for an online community and to deliver online training courses. This site is based on WordPress too and uses BuddyBoss + LearnDash + MemberPress + WPFusion and in the coming months will be replicated as a native app in iOS and Android via the BuddyBoss App. There are also a number of improvements planned for the Academy site including advanced reporting for customers, getting customers to manage their own team enrolments (using Uncanny Owl plugin), increased integration with our email automation platform (ActiveCampaign), gamification with Gamipress, integration with Credly and more.

Other responsibilities will include:
- Improving page loading speeds
- Ensuring all pages are fully mobile responsive
- Make the site multi-lingual (translations will be provided of course)
- Conduct regular updates and maintenance
- Run / analyse analytics reports
- Conduct on-site SEO


About You

- You are honest, reliable, and have a great attitude to work. You’re keen to find a long-term opportunity that can grow into something bigger and better.
- You pay attention to detail, take initiative, and can work with relatively little supervision.
- You speak up when you don’t know something or don’t understand, but are proactive enough to then go and find out and learn.
- You can work well on your own but are also a good team player. You have no problem receiving feedback from others and acting on it.
- You are a developer by background, but also happy to take on other duties like Project Manager and/or run SEO. After all, you are a talented individual!
- Happy to work within Australian business hours (Brisbane time)


Your Skills

- You have near-fluent English and especially your written English is clear, concise and accurate. A lot of our communication will be via Microsoft Teams or ---------- so written English is key to our success.
- You are an experienced full-stack WordPress developer with a strong background in WordPress including membership sites, you have worked with LearnDash and have (in-depth) knowledge of BuddyBoss so you can hit the ground running.
- Extensive experience with Elementor, ACF, and custom WordPress development
- You have excellent front-end development skills and reasonable back-end development skills which you are willing to further improve
- You have proven experience in website speed optimisation
- You have a good eye for design and can easily replicate existing designs so that any new pages you create look great.
- You understand the importance of documenting website development and functionality


The Offer

- You will work 40 hours per week, 4 hours per day, 5 days per week (Mon - Fri) but you will start with 20 hours per week for the first month or two.
- You will work those hours somewhere between 7am to 7pm Brisbane time
- Weekly salary of USD 400, paid weekly via TransferWise, pro-rated 13th Month
- Opportunity to become full-time later in 2022 depending on business success
