Responsibilities:
- Create compelling, effective, and on-brand copy for our digital experience, website,
- Work collaboratively across teams to tell stories that matter to our customers and deliver key business results
- Use data and testing to craft messaging that hits key metrics
- Edit copy from other departments to ensure it is on-brand
- Assist with creative campaigns, content, and UX copy as needed to help our ideas come to life
- Writes and edits accurate, concise, and highly readable copy that’s engaging to read, easy to understand, and compels customers to action
- Has expert-level talent in crafting short-form and long-form copy
- Not only adheres to brand voices but also can develop and execute them on all social channels
- Edits and proofreads on the fly if needed and is an absolute English master
- Works smart, fast, and diligently, with the ability to gracefully juggle up to 20 projects at a time
- Reviews content and recommends improvements (content clarity, brevity, calls to action, and streamlined online navigation) while collaborating with partners across the organization
- Works with the marketing team to address challenges in displaying and integrating content within social channels
- Develops and executes clever, engaging copy daily and avoids writer’s block by constantly seeking out inspiration and tracking the competition
- Can easily transfer from project to project, and fro
- Asks the necessary, insightful questions to make sure that projects are succinct and executed properly the first time
- Can persuasively present their work to senior leadership and can speak in a group setting with both confidence and kindness
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing/Advertising, Journalism or English preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals and turn complex ideas into easy-to-read copy
Professional Experience
- Up to 5 years of copywriting experience at an advertising or marketing agency and/or an in-house creative team preferred; a background in writing for retail or e-commerce is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability for concept development and strategy
