Software QA Engineer

As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will work on finding software defects, perform tests, collect data, and follow test ---------- sential Functions
• Reviews software for accuracy and quality prior to delivery to customer.
• Supports development of software test reporting artifacts. Participates in evaluation of test performance data. Collects the test data and provides recommended testing approach. Prepares for next test activities or events based on results.
• Create test documentation to include test plans, test cases, test scenarios, requirements traceability matrices as per project needs.
• Develop and maintain manual or automated test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans.
• Plan automated and manual test creation and execution, analyze, report results, and write defects.
• Gathers information from applicable sources to fulfill test requirements, define environments and test articles for simple tests. Assists in identifying test requirements for complex tests.
• Performs test and collects data, following established test procedures. Identifies anomalies and reviews with more experienced personnel. Participates in test readiness reviews. Provides input to lessons learned and performance metrics to improve future testing.
• With general supervision for all phases of the software life cycle contributes to the selection, tailoring and deployment of test processes and tools, establishment of test metrics.
Skills and Qualification Requirements
Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technology, or related technical field.
1-3 years of experience in writing automated tests using related test automation frameworks and tools.
2-4 years quality assurance experience.
Basic SQL experience.
Full understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle processes of data quality, data mining, data cleansing, and data transformation.
Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA and Software Development.
Knowledge of agile development practices, continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous deployment.
The applicant must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, be a team player with a positive attitude.
Working knowledge of software development and delivery.
Ability to handle multiple projects and ---------- velopment experience in Java, .NET and web technologies.
