Love finding new shortcuts to be more productive? Do you think about how to automate processes as quickly as possible? Are you the most resourceful person you know?

Do you have amazing attention to detail and find typos that most people wood miss? Do your friends make fun of how organized you are?

This role is ideal for you if you want to learn the ropes of becoming a SaaS marketing consultant but would rather be an apprentice to someone who has extensive agency and startup experience than to figure it all out by yourself.

You’ll gain a behind-the-scenes understanding of what’s involved in running a specialized marketing and consulting business while gaining experience with specific marketing and project management skills that can be applied to many business types or ---------- a typical week, you might:

- Create and update campaigns for social media and email marketing, including landing pages and automation nurtures in Hubspot
- Research and compile data about SaaS companies to create episodic and pillar content for the company blog, working in Airtable or Google Sheets.
- Research and conduct email outreach to appear on podcasts, speak at conferences, and to book guests for our upcoming podcast
- Proofread blog posts, emails, and documents
- Organize and tag content (eg: sales calls, marketing training webinars) in various software platforms, CRM, and learning management systems
- Work on live client projects helping with research tasks such as funnel analysis, competitor marketplace research, website audits, customer research
- Processing tasks into assigned to-dos, dates, and responsibilities in Basecamp.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, and update Basecamp and Google Calendar to keep the Head of Growth and Demand Gen team ---------- nd appropriate email follow-ups needed to keep clients informed of progress
- Provide support before and after meetings and client calls, and moderate audience Q&A on Zoom-based events
- Research marketing and sales leads, to identify who’s qualified
- Update projects and timelines proactively, knowing when to bend or break directives and think out of the box
- The role is 80-90% execution, 10-20% ideation. The focus is primarily internally-facing (85%), with some interaction with clients and prospects
- Your schedule is flexible; daily and weekly assignments are managed through Basecamp
If you’re familiar with the DiSC assessment, you’re probably C+D or D+C (high urgency + high accuracy)
- Reliable high-speed internet access is a must-have, as is fluency in English and availability for scheduled [virtual] meetings and “ad hoc” calls between 10 am-6 pm Eastern Time

A good candidate will have some marketing experience; however, we’re willing to provide on-the-job training for the right ---------- pending on your experience, the role pays US$5-7/hour (40 hours/week, paid as an independent contractor).
