Roles & Responsibilities:

- Preparing and delivering lessons to improve students' reading, writing, and coversation skills.
- Developing educational content.
- Assigning activities and homework to facilitate students' consolidation of learning the material.
- Tailoring your teaching style in accordance with students' needs.
- Managing interpersonal dynamics to ensure that the class is conducive to learning.
- Tracking and reporting on students' progress.
- Ensuring that your equipment and internet connection is in good working condition at all times.
- Open to work on weekends upon the students’ parents and management’s discretion.
- Willing to commit required hours from 5pm-11pm Phil. time.
- Willing also to open earlier hours upon management’s discretion as last resort if a student is unwilling to adjust his/her class time.

Skills Required:

Excellent in communication skills (verbal and written)
Must have a minimum of 1 year online teaching experience with Chinese clients.
Good with young learners
Fast and stable wired main Internet connection of at least 10-15 mbps, must have a backup internet connection.
Owns a laptop or desktop computer equipped with an HD webcam. (at least windows 10 specifications)
Punctual, responsible, patient, kid-friendly and easy-going
A demonstrated respect for the values, cultural differences, and expectations of Chinese parents.

About the Company
We are GFA kids, a small startup online English academy that caters to young learners aspiring to improve their English level. We are under the ranks of its parent company Shadstone, an IT marketing agency in Asia run by Mike Michelini; an American based in Asia for over 10 years. We have about 20 people and are steadily growing with the GFAkids program mainly in the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Canada. We are totally working online, using Slack and other Project management tools to keep things running smoothly.
