Layout Designer for Print Publication

We are looking for a designer to layout one of our print newspapers. The job mostly involves laying out the article text and photos, inserting ads, and making sure that each page of the paper looks nice.

Responsibilities will include:
- Laying out articles and photos
- Laying out classified ads, open house tables, community announcements, etc
- Inserting ads
- Make sure that each page of the paper looks nice

Requirements
- Experience in using InDesign
- Experience working for a newspaper industry
- Experience laying out print publications
- A good eye for detail
- Works well with deadlines and understands priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- Open to learning and has a positive work attitude

Hours:
This is a full-time position with working hours from 9 am - 6 pm in the Eastern Standard Time zone. But if there are deadlines coming up more hours may be required.
