Job Description
As the in-house broker specializes in the purchase and sale of event tickets to over 30,000 different concerts, sporting events and Broadway and off Broadway shows. Operations has created an opportunity for a new Junior Purchasing Associate. The Purchasing team is responsible for listing and buying event tickets, processing ticket orders and handling escalated customer service situations for all web sites.
In a typical day, the Junior Purchasing Associate will fill orders that come through a database, research new events that will be going on sale and provide supporting research on the pricing of currently listed events that the team is buying for. Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Secure event tickets to fulfill customer orders
• Input and manage inventory using Point-of-Sale software platform
• Prioritize incoming ticket requests to ensure prompt and accurate orders
• Provide superior service to resolve inventory availability issues
• Respond quickly and accurately to customer questions, and handle escalated customer service issues promptly and professionally both over the phone and through email
Required Skills Work well in a team oriented environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fast, accurate typing Strong customer service skills Ability to manage time effectively and multitask Experience using MS Excel Basic computer literacy Required Experience At least 1 year of experience.
