*Welcome to the Biblical Counseling Academy Job Description*

Position Overview

This position’s primary focus is to create an organized and supportive environment for our small team and our business as a whole. Although we are a Christian ministry, we will be generating revenue through tuition-paying students. Thus, we will consider this position a business related role.

The role is also a support role for our founder, to help Pastor Jeff stay organized and on task as he creates new content (both paid and free) to support his current students and potential students.

Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail (can spot a typo a mile away) and knows how to communicate in an organized and efficient way. *This is a position that requires deep experience with communicating in the English language - both written and spoken English will be a primary requirement for this position.*

Please note - I am willing to train a smart candidate that has little experience but is tech savvy, honest, faithful, gifted and is hungry to learn. Are you Prayerful, Faithful, Available and Teachable? That's a win!

This is a Bible Training Academy. All of our teachers and students pray and read their Bibles every day. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the Bible. Discretion and confidentiality are essential for this position because private prayer requests are communicated.

This is a full-time, salaried position that reports directly to our CEO/Founder, while also working closely with other key members of the team.

This position involves working some evenings and weekends, and at times, responding to tea ---------- mbers outside of traditional work hours. There are tight deadlines that require the candidate to be exclusive. To clarify, the ideal candidate will be one who is not a gig freelancer with multiple clients. This role requires total dedication and a wholehearted commitment to the Biblical counseling Academy, the founder, the team and the brand. The employment contract will ask for your commitment.

*Duties and Responsibilities*

Our Virtual Assistant will be responsible for ongoing support for our business and our team. You will:

-Oversee Customer Support - support the students with responsiveness!
-Manage calendars and schedule meetings between the client and students
-Manage social media accounts
-Prepare podcast episodes for weekly distribution
-Credit Card Dispute Resolution (chargebacks) and update systems as necessary
-Review email materials and blog posts prior to distribution for accuracy

*Skills and Abilities*

-Resourceful

-Outstanding communication skills / Ability to create strong relationships with tea ---------- mbers, vendors, contractors, customers, and key people from other organizations
-Organized
-Takes ownership and pride in their work
-Adapts really well to changes on-the-go
-Technologically savvy
-Can handle direct and blunt feedback and course-correct as necessary
-Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously — gets things done, meets deadlines and keeps promises
-Insane attention to detail
-Ability to anticipate
-Ability to present ideas and metrics clearly and concisely
-Extremely flexible
-Coachable/no ego — happy doing high-level projects as well as mundane administrative tasks (there will be a mix of both!)
-Ability to secure, manage and allocate resources at all times
-Strong ability to solve problems (creative problem solving)
-Not locked into working traditional hours (9-5), but *embraces an “until it gets done” attitude*

The Virtual Assistant position will have a strong pulse on the business, staying in the know on top priorities, while focusing on the specific action items that keep the business moving forward on a daily basis. If you feel you are a strong fit for this position, see the details below!

*Meet Pastor Jeff*

I started training Biblical Counselors in 1998 at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California under the care of my mentor, Pastor Chuck ---------- was at CCBC that I met and married my wife, Jennie. During those years I was trained by Pastor Bob Hoekstra in Biblical Theology, Growing in Grace and Counseling God's Way. Pastor Bob charged me, "Jeff, continue to make disciples using the Counseling God's Way curriculum!" Both of my mentors are now home with the Lord and I take their charge seriously by making disciples wherever I go.

The approach of this school of ministry is that of a pastor, not of a researcher. My primary desire is to explore the word of God on these important matters of counseling, discipling, and personal ministry.

Today, I serve as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. I am the current President of the International Association of Biblical Counselors, Professor of Biblical Counseling at Calvary Chapel University, and the Founder and Chair of the Biblical Counseling Academy where I serve students as Dean of Biblical Counseling and Soul Care.
