Video Editor (Premiere or FCP)

Looking for fast and talented video editors with an eye for detail and a sixth sense for pacing.

We're a media production agency focused on creating engaging and entertaining content for various brands and YouTube channels.

Currently looking for editors to work on YouTube videos and online course content. Think AppSumo, Ahrefs, or MKBHD YouTube channels.

We're always evolving and looking to improve the quality of the videos - we'd like to work with an editor that has creative input and is not just looking to get the video done as quickly as possible.

EDITOR REQUIREMENTS
- Strong sense of timing and pacing. This is key. Experience is great but secondary to having a good feel for what makes a good cut and what keeps a video flowing smoothly and keeps viewers engaged.
- Ability to think of b-roll and titles. Videos will have a script and notes, but the more you're able to add in terms of b-roll use, on-screen titles, and other on-screen elements, the better (note the only expectation here is what you creatively bring to the table, not that you should have your own stock footage library. You'll have access to our stock video libraries, music libraries, and plugins)
- Do basic animations with layered PSD files and still images
- Own and have a thorough understanding of either Adobe Premiere or FCPX.
- Be comfortable with proxy workflows and working with multicam sequences
- 100mbps min up and down internet connection

EXPECTATIONS
- Owner mentality. This means you can stick to a schedule, hit deadlines, and work independently and asynchronously
- Communicate early about questions or issues
- Constantly curious and desire to improve and learn new skills
- Strong command of the English language
