About the role:
The LSM Secretariat is seeking an intern to help with the day-to-day contact and emailing, and administration of its new Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty campaign. LSM plans to coordinate the FFNPT campaign in the Philippines and is recruiting an intern to support the growth and success of the campaign in the Philippines.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the climate crises and supporting the switch away from fossil fuel, this role is for you. This position will further launch you into global advocacy and campaigning with faith-based organizations and multilateral partners.

Key Responsibilities
The FFNPT intern should be passionate about climate change and ending fossil fuels. Their current or past studies or interests should feature around the above. The primary responsibilities of the intern will focus on;
• Coordinate campaign activities and events in the Philippines.
• Meeting partners for FFNPT and maintaining communication with them in the Philippines.
• Follow up on Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty opportunities and signups.
• Contribution to research.
• Draft memos and letters.
• Providing logistics support for conferences, meetings, and events during the campaign.
• Emailing partners and follow up
• Management of various databases.
• Assisting with essential project management (e.g., drafting meeting minutes, updating work plans, tracking budgets)
• Take part in planning and campaign delivery processes and provide input.

Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
• Education: Upper-level university student in environmental sciences or law with a passion for fighting the climate crisis.
• Management of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge and or prior experience in essential campaigning.
• Good writing and emailing skills.
• Ability to work in a remote online environment.
• Collaborative attitude, availability of 30 hours or more per week, and a spirit of initiative;
• Ideally, an understanding of ecological issues and faith communities’ place in the environmental movement.
• Comfort working in a faith-based organization.

Languages: Fluent English is required

Location: Manilla, the Philippines.

Work Environment: Remote and offline. It will be based at home but offline meetings are also expected.

Type: This is an internship program, and a stipend may be offered depending on local/legal requirements. This position will last until July 1, 2022.
