Part-Time Social Media Content Creator

MakerState is looking for a part-time self-starter Social Media Content Creator that will be assigned with the following tasks:

- You will have to read through our SOPs and former social media posts and begin posting within one week
- Set monthly new follower growth success metrics
- Research content online that can be reposted with appropriate hashtags and URLs to maximize sharing/re-posting.
- Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities and negotiate media coverage
- Create repurposed SEO-building content (blogs, stories, videos, images, infographics, quotes).
- Write daily, short social media content for posts. Content will include engineering and coding projects, experiments, games, brain teasers, fun facts, promotions.
- Compose listicle and short blog posts.
- Schedule and post in ---------- to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
- Use photos from our Google Photos account to add to posted content.
- Plan new and creative social media campaigns that add audience members, follows, likes, shares, etc. and promote sales and sign-ups.

Bonus if you can:
- Write and manage email and Mailchimp marketing campaigns
- Develop and implement marketing and advertising campaigns thru social media and other marketing platforms like Mailchimp.
- Work with our existing team on social media marketing for new campaigns.
- Connect and engage with people to build long-term relationships. Objectives: increase awareness, grow audience, engage families, increase sales and find contact details for targeted key areas.
- Write phone sales scripts and manage others to make sales calls
- Manage party preparation and client communications.

Requirements:
- Must have previous experience as a Social Media Content Creator or a similar role
- Must have experience running social media advertising campaigns
- Detail-oriented with high knowledge and delivery of social media content creation
- Creative, with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Available to work during Eastern Standard Time or graveyard shift
- Ability to work 10-20 hrs per week or more
- Preferable but not necessary: Knowledge of STEM/coding education (Science,Technology, English, Math, Scratch by MIT, Minecraft, Roblox, TinkerCAD, Piskel, Robotics etc.)
