Quality assurance engineer (QA) analyst develops and executes software testing plans and
procedures. A QA analyst is responsible to catch, document, and report bugs and coding errors to
the software development team. They are required to be adept at the testing of SASS web
applications, the complexities of cross-browser development, and mobile testing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Design and execute test plans, scenarios, automated scripts, and procedures to identify
software problems and their causes
* Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
*Develop new and update existing software test cases to include test acceptance criteria
* Ensure that business requirements are mapped to the functional specifications and have
sufficient test coverage
* Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, or content
*Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, designs,
schedules, or potential problems
*Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
* Monitor and report on debugging process results
* Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
*Document test findings (bugs, change requests, etc.) (requires detail orientation)
* Provide automated testing, manual testing, mobile testing, cross-browser testing and
regression testing in support of the system
*Assist, as needed, in other functional areas of the project including training and analysis
* Understand, triage, and determine steps to replicate complex client issues or complaints

Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
* Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor preferred
* Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
*Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
*Superb computer competence, including database management
* Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect
management practice
*Understanding of Agile/Scru ---------- thodology and how QA functions within it
