My company provides hand written letters for clients here in the states with very high volume contracts. Our average client is contracted to receive 2000 to 3000 letters per month. You will act as our primary point of contact in the Philippines. With support from our team here in the states you will hire 10 to 20 full-time local writers and oversee everything to ensure that this team is successful.
As a manager you will take ownership for everything from hiring to training & quality control, materials sourcing & inventory tracking.. finding the best rate for our international shipping company all the way down to completing a final quality control check, verifying your writers weekly volume and ensuring everything is packed, shipped and received by our clients here in the states on deadline each
Include your expected salary. This position is paid a bonus for every correctly written letter submitted by the writers on your team. The faster you get your team online and start having letters shipped to the states the faster you can increase your pay.
If you really want this job then I would recommend you step up and show your value by solving my 2 biggest pain points.. shipping from your location to Dallas Texas and sourcing bulk materials. If someone came to me with solutions for these issues then I would be very inclined to work with this person.
Regarding shipping usually the best rates are on 25 KG boxes. We need to ship one to four of these boxes each week and we need the best price per kilogram. This may require us setting up a local business account with each shipping provider in the Philippines.
For materials I would like to know the best price you can find for the following supplies:
Envelopes - White United States envelope size #10. We need four different Brands/Versions of these envelopes. Three of the brands can be regular gummed style envelopes and at least one price for self adhesive a.k.a. peel and seal style envelopes. You can look for the best price per box of 500. We need 10,000 envelopes per week.. 3000 total from each of the 3 different gummed envelope brands and 1000 of the peel and seal style
Our ideal manager will also work part-time as a writer. We would assign you a low volume client and when you are not busy with the day-to-day operations and management of the team you will spend time writing letters. You can put in the writing hours at your own convenience. We have a benchmark of how many letters you can write per hour and we will assign you a client with needs that require less than 20 hours of total writing time per week. This is an important step because it will help you relate to your tea
The exception would be someone who is also a highly skilled programmer or very good with creating something like excel spreadsheets. If having you on salary can save us money we spend hiring freelancers then I would like to know your areas of expertise and level of proficiency.

- Tell me about any experience hiring Filipino freelancers and managing them I’ll be half of a remote US client similar to myself? Do you have any previous employees information that we can contact? What do you think they would tell us about you?
- Do you have excellent time management skills? What productivity system(s) do you use? How do you keep yourself organized, track tasks and ensure that no task ends up incomplete.
- Some basic computer experience forming reports and tracking expenses. *Being proficient with Excel Spreadsheets / VBA and/or Google sheets / Google apps script would be an added benefit. If you are an expert with either or both of these programs please let me know when you contact me.
- 100% fluent English speaker. We have to ensure there are no language barriers.

- Experience sourcing materials and price negotiation. Specifically we need a minimum 10,000 #10 envelopes and 10,000 White, blank and unruled 4” x 6” index cards each week. We need multiple brands of each for our clients to choose from. We would also like to provide our clients with the choice between regular gummed envelopes and self adhesive aka peel and seal envelopes. I have been unable this far to find a bulk source for peel and seal style envelopes.
