Project Nurse

SUMMARY

Project Nurse is responsible in providing first aid and immediate medical assistance to employees in the event of an illness or injury due to undesired event.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Observes and assesses workers, staff and the work environment for health hazards / risks.
• Monitors and secures supply of first aid kits and medicines at sire.
• Manages occupational and non-occupational illness and injury.
• Administers first aid to prepare patient’s transfer to the nearest hospital for further treatment as and when required.
• Interprets and/or relays of Medical Diagnosis and treatment of patient to his/her supervisors.
• Documents cases of injury and illness and the necessary interventions to prevent recurrence or minimize the impact of such.
• Provides health teachings to patients/staff with health concerns.
• Provides necessary data to supplement in the monthly reports.
• Provides additional information relating to infectious and communicable diseases, develop and promote Health programs.
• Performs other task that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of BS Nursing, with License
• At least three (3) years’ experience in occupational health or the like is preferred.
• Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office applications.
• Has successfully completed the required DOLE training course for occupational health nurse (OHNAP-BOSH).
• Member of the Occupational Health Nurse Association of the Philippines.
