JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Operations Manager (OM)
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Supervisory
Reports: Operations Administrative Assistant, Operations Event Check-in Associates Interns
Status: Full Time - Exempt
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all operational aspects of HIPSTR and is responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness through the smooth internal and external operations of the company. This includes staff management and development, operations management and ensuring excellent communication throughout company with clients and employees. The Operations Manager (OM) reports to the CEO and is a member of HIPSTR’s management team, and is responsible for providing input that guides HIPSTR’s strategic direction. The Operations Manager provides the leadership, and management necessary to ensure that HIPSTR has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and person systems in place to effectively grow the company in order to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides direct oversight of all HIPSTR activities, manages the day-to-day operations and assures a smoothly functioning and efficient company.
• Assists the CEO in setting strategic priorities for HIPSTR in consultation with staff, including refining the business objectives for the vision of the company.
• Provides day-to-day leadership and management in alignment with the mission and core values of HIPSTR.
• Oversee allocation and delegation of duties of staffing resources and responsibilities for company goals.
• Support and promote timely, desired outcomes for goals.
• Lead planning and implementation teams for critical, company-wide projects as needed.
• Measure the effectiveness of all process internal and external; and provides timely, accurate and complete performance and statistical report on the operating condition of the company.
• Established credibility throughout the company and with the CEO as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
• Collaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operations infrastructure of systems processes and personnel designed to accommodate meeting the objectives of the company.
• Provides leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are put into practice.
Operations Management:
• Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of HIPSTR’s mission specifically, support enhanced management reporting, information flow, business processes and company planning.
• Oversee vendor selection and relationships; negotiate and manage vendor contracts.

• Supervise and manage operations management, administrative, event staff and interns.
• Play a significant role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence.
• Represent HIPSTR at trade shows, assigned events to educate the public about company.
Management and Development:
• Improve human resources management systems, processes and policies in support of company mission and core values.
• Manager and mentor company personnel, including supporting company-wide implementation of periodic performance reviews.
• Manage personnel and other HR related files.
• Oversee personnel development, including employee trainings and preparing and conducting all staff meetings.
• Along with CEO determine staff requirements, manage personnel hiring and discharge, new employee orientations,
• Strengthen and manage all aspects of internal and external company communications.
• Along with CEO generate and publish annual and quarterly reports and other external communications.
• Generate operations presentations and reports as needed.
• Assist CEO in reporting regular organizational performance dashboard compilation and publication.

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years experience in a operations management role ideally with a recurring revenue model (hospitality management, event planning, sales in a customer service entertainment environment).
• Ability to comprehend and analyze budgets, profit and loss statements and revenue generating procedures.
• Experience in areas of sales and marketing, finance, human resources and media technology.
• Operations leadership experience and ability to manage overall operations issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Liberal Arts, Communications, etc. and/or 7 + direct and relevant work experience.
• Supervisory and management skills with successful track record of developing others
• Ability to work within a fast paces, quickly evolving organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and able to determine which projects require preference
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Basic skills in accounting software
