Accounts Manager

An accounts manager assists 10 carriers or less on finding loads for their companies. We find, negotiate, and acquire loads on their behalf. We then dispatch the carriers, follow up, and verify that the load has been delivered. Throughout the process, we may have to complete carrier setups, rate confirmations, and invoices.

Responsibilities
• Communicate with the carriers on their availability.
• If available, locate driver and start the dispatch process.
• The dispatch process includes: Finding, Negotiating, and Acquiring.
• Finding loads: Access the load board and/or contact brokers in the locale of the driver.
• Negotiating: Negotiate the best rate for the carrier. Some carriers have certain requirements. We must try to come as close as possible to these.
• Acquiring: After agreeing on a rate. We must acquire the load. We do this by filing out a Carrier Packet and signing off on a Rate Confirmation.
• Dispatching: After completing the carrier packet and rate confirmation, we dispatch the carrier to the pickup location. After pickup, we notify the shipper and monitor the travel. After delivering the freight, we will notify the shipper and send them a BOL (POD).
