This individual will work closely with Kathy Kuo and the interior design team on all residential and hospitality projects ranging from local projects to those further out of state. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-end residential and commercial design.

Applicants should have excellent communication and organizational skills, in addition to sales experience and outstanding people skills. Your role is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to create functional and beautiful spaces for our clients - drawing from our exceptionally curated product line at Kathy Kuo Home.

Responsibilities :

Serving as the main point of contact for all high-value clients and leading design projects from conception to completion. This includes programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, furnishing selection, and space planning.
Strong ability to develop floor plans, presentation boards, and renderings.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as presentation skills.
Strong ability to nurture a sales cycle through consistent and responsible client follow-up.
Documenting FF&E and finishes for full-service design clients
Working cross-functionally with the Project Management team to assist in purchasing furniture items based on client requests and coordinate send out of fabric and finish samples to clients as needed.
Work with external consultants and manufacturers to gather product information as needed.
Travel to job sites in the tri-state area and help with project installs as requested.

Requirements:

Only open to graduates of BS Interior Design (licensed and unlicensed)
Previous design firm experience is a plus
Required skills: AutoCAD, Sketchup & Adobe Photoshop. Knowledge in Adobe InDesign is a plus
Must be passionate about Interior Design, furniture, decor & architecture
Must be able to work New York hours.
