Sr WordPress Developer

We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to implement attractive and functional websites for our clients.

You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including, but not limited to the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.

We are looking for applicants who have the right attitude, are highly motivated, are goal-oriented, and with the initiative to take responsibility to the next level, and love to work in the comfort of his/her own home.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Advance knowledge in WordPress builders such as Oxygen, Elementor, Divi.
- Advance knowledge in Woo Commerce ( a plus if you also know Shopify )
- Good understanding of SEO and website optimizations
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Rich knowledge in different hosting environments and can troubleshoot hosting/DNS issues
- Solid understanding of OOP and algorithms.
- Can debug and write clean PHP codes.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- Strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyze existing websites containing both custom development and plugins, and understand how the websites are constructed.
- Update and maintain existing front-end and back-end WordPress website code, functionality, and plugins.
- Create new pages, features, and functionalities within existing WordPress sites.
- Fix bugs documented in issue tracking software (JIRA).
- Write readable and efficient code for both front and back-end processes.
- Provide regular status updates to project teams and be able to communicate and document progress clearly.
- Articulate technical concepts, plans, and challenges to other developers, and to both internal and client teams with varying technical knowledge.
- Assist the development team in the maintenance of various WordPress sites
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to make sure that the end product meets design standards
- Develop with a strong focus in website performance and ADA compliance
- Ensure that correct technology processes are being employed and followed on projects
- Contribute to best practices, workflows, and standards and company knowledge sharing
- Open to learning new technologies and languages if a specific project demands it
- Help create solutions based on client feedback
- Communicate development ideas and standards internally and to the clients
