Data Visualisation

1) Reformat the "Illustrative Cost Comparison" worksheet to make it much more attractive and easy to understand. This may involve reformatting with improved colors/ font, dividing the spreadsheet into several worksheets. It should be easy on the eyes when done.
2) Create some accompanying or embedded charts to help visualiize the most important data and conclusions that flow from this spreadsheet, which shows which colleges are affordable for the family's students given the information the family provided. (A specific example of one helpful chart is noted below).

You should be really familiar with Excel, data presentation & visualization in order to make this work efficient and effective. Excellent English is a must.

The main points I want to highlight for the family are the following :

There are a number of schools that are within the family's financial reach. These generally fall into 3 categories:

1). "Full pay" schools. Parents can afford to pay $12,000 annually. Schools B through I and N fit within that; schools J, K, L & M do not.

2). Schools where average merit aid is significant and fairly probable. These include the schools marked "with average merit aid per CDS"

3). Schools where merit aid is huge, but probability of getting it is slim because the scholarships are so competitive. These schools are marked "with very selective scholarship."

It would be nice to have a bar chart that shows lines 27 & 28 for all of the schools in categories 1 & 2, organized from least to greatest, and omitting all schools that are beyond the parents' budget.

The ultimate objective is for the family and their kids to see the relative costs of feasible schools, while also helping them understand where affordability is assured vs where affordability is based on the probability of merit aid.
