THE ROLE
The Digital Content Creator and Social Media Community Manager will create and post content (copy and visual) for select channels (blog, Pinterest and Google My Business) and engage in community building activity across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.). The successful candidate will be a strong writer with an eye for trend-driven fashion content and an avid lover of fashion-related social media. You will also be a proactive problem-solver who can engage in a friendly, professional manner at all times in line with the company tone of voice and brand guidelines in impeccable written English.
Location/Payment: This position is full time and fully remote. Will consider agencies or full-time employees - dependent on the candidate(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital content making
o Bring creative ideas and energy to monthly content planning sessions as well as weekly content check ins with the marketing team
o Create 300 word plus blog posts covering a range of topics (e.g., seasonal edits, how to style the same item 5 ways, staff style features, how to dress for different occasions) - copy and image selection
o Create and post branded Pinterest content
o Create and post simple content posts for Google My Business using content created for the blog, Pinterest or other social media channels
o Ensure that all content meets brand guidelines (visual and tone of voice), has perfect grammar and syntax, and is posted within strict posting deadlines
Engage with the community
o Actively engage with the community with smart, on-brand comments in a confident, kind tone while actively managing difficult comments
o Ensure all comments are answered, messages returned and partnership/collaboration requests forwarded within strict response deadlines
o Help customers with the product - demonstrate a strong understanding of the clothing and jewelry that’s currently available
o Create new potential industry partners lists for the outreach/relationship management team
o Actively engage with approved industry partners (potential and existing) following department guidelines
General responsibilities
o Fill in a scorecard tracking performance of content created and social media community management
o Use your performance metrics to suggest changes to content guidelines/post schedule and community management tactics
o Build strong relationships with the team and work together to ensure the content calendar is well executed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of 2 years’ social media coordination / digital content creation experience, preferably in women’s fashion
• Perfect spoken and written English with excellent visual and written communication skills
• A digital native with a keen interest in fashion, social media and industry players (fashion press, influencers, stylists)
• High energy and friendly with strong active listening skills, and highly proficient in problem analysis and identification
• Experience working for an online business using Shopify and Asana or similar platforms
