Blog/Email Content Writer

Delcie’s Desserts and Cakes is looking for a part-time Content Writer to help with researching, drafting and publishing blog posts, EDM content, case studies, news items, award nominations, social copy, live transcript and more.
If you’re familiar with producing online content (particularly highly technical content with SEO capability) and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you.

Role:
Responsible for writing clear and concise social media copies that disseminates across various platforms of various objectives – Facebook, Instagram, blog, video, live, emails
Writing should inform/engage target audiences as well as create brand familiarity and awareness.
Responsibilities:
• Understanding Delcie’s Desserts and Cakes story and products/services provided.
• Generating headlines & “hooks” for contents of all platforms
• Researching industry-related topics and identify reader/viewer needs (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
• Identify gaps in our content/content strategy and recommending new methods to address those gaps
• Proofreading and edit content for errors and inconsistencies
• Ensure all around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Submit work for approval
• Conducting keyword research and using SEO best practices to increase traffic
• Plan and recommend relevant content writing topics suitable for our target audience and related festive pieces.
• Write content emails
• Write & repurpose social media captions (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube etc)
• Write podcast copies (which includes emails, descriptions, titles, and captions)
• Write content video outline (Youtube / Live streaming)
Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeals to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.
Requirements:
• Proven work experience as Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Experience in doing research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with web publications
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Hands-on experience with Wordpress blogging system
• Ability to meet deadlines
